Tuxedo Sea Urchins are striking invertebrates prized for their distinctive black and white coloration and active grazing behavior. These hardy urchins excel at controlling algae growth in established reef systems, making them valuable additions to mature tanks. They're generally peaceful but may consume soft corals and polyps if underfed, so provide adequate macroalgae and supplemental feeding. Maintain stable conditions: pH 8.1–8.3, salinity 1.023–1.025 (specific gravity), and moderate water flow. They prefer rocky substrates with crevices for shelter and can reach 3–4 inches in diameter. Best suited for intermediate to advanced aquarists with established systems.
