Tiger Hillstream Loach

Tiger Hillstream Loach (Sewellia lineolata) — a hardy, active freshwater species from Southeast Asia's fast-moving streams. Flattened body with striking tiger-stripe patterning and vertical bands allow them to cling to rocks with their sucker mouth. Excellent algae grazers for planted tanks. Thrives in high-flow aquariums with plenty of rocks and plants for exploration and cover. Prefers well-oxygenated water mimicking their natural habitat — maintain 72–78°F (22–25°C) and pH 6.5–7.5 with robust filtration. Beginner-friendly and naturally algae-controlling, making them ideal for planted setups. A striking, low-maintenance addition to any freshwater community.
