Sohal Tang Sm

The Sohal Tang is a striking and highly prized addition to established saltwater reef aquariums. Known for its vibrant yellow body with distinctive black markings and electric blue accents, this fish commands attention and brings dynamic movement to any display.

A moderately aggressive species, the Sohal Tang requires substantial aquarium space—preferably 180 gallons or larger—with plenty of rockwork for grazing and territorial boundaries. It feeds primarily on algae and vegetable matter, making it an excellent natural algae controller. Provide quality seaweed sheets, spirulina-based foods, and occasional meaty offerings to maintain optimal health and coloration.

Best kept singly or with very careful tankmate selection, the Sohal Tang can be territorial with other tangs and similar-sized fish. Its active swimming and foraging behavior makes it a centerpiece species for experienced reef keepers. Acclimate slowly and monitor compatibility closely during introduction.
