Pindani Cichlid (Large)

The Pindani Cichlid requires a 45-55 gallon  tank with water maintained at 24–28°C, a pH of 7.5–8.5, and hardness of 10–20 dGH. A sandy substrate with secure rock formations supports natural digging behavior. Primarily herbivorous, it thrives on spirulina flakes and cichlid pellets, minimizing digestive risks.The Pindani cichlid (Chindongo socolofi) is a freshwater species native to Lake Malawi, reaching 4-5inch in length. Its uniform powder-blue coloration and distinctive dorsal fin band are characteristic of Mbuna rock-dwelling cichlids, adapted to rocky and sandy habitats.
