 The L134 Leopard Frog Pleco (Peckoltia compta) is a small freshwater catfish distinguished by its bright yellow body and jagged black stripes. Its striking coloration enhances aquarium aesthetics while its modest size allows compatibility with various tank environments.

 

These fish originate from fast-moving rivers in Brazil, such as the Rio Tapajos and Rio Jamanxim. In the wild, they hide in rock crevices.
  • Size and Tank: They reach about 3.5 to 4.5 inches long. A 30-gallon tank or larger is recommended. Always provide plenty of driftwood and rock caves for them to hide in.
  • Water Conditions: They prefer warm, clean water. Keep the temperature between 78°F and 86°F. 
  • Diet: They are omnivores. Adults need a diet rich in meaty proteins like bloodworms and brine shrimp. Younger fish prefer some green foods like zucchini
