Biota Tank Bred Blue Hippo Tang

Brilliant blue coloring and graceful swimming make the Biota tank-bred Blue Hippo Tang a stunning centerpiece for established reef and fish-only aquariums. Captive-bred for superior hardiness and reduced stress compared to wild-caught specimens, this tang thrives in systems with plenty of open swimming space and well-established rockwork for grazing and shelter.

Best suited for aquariums 75 gallons or larger, the Blue Hippo Tang is a peaceful addition when introduced as one of the first fish. Provide varied herbivorous diet including quality seaweed, spirulina, and vegetable matter to maintain vibrant coloration and long-term health. Compatible with most reef-safe fish and invertebrates when tank mates are introduced carefully.

Biota's commitment to sustainable aquaculture means you're supporting responsible breeding practices while enjoying a healthier, longer-living fish for your reef.
