Directions: NEVER use tap water to clean filter media as this will kill the beneficial bacteria that helps keep your water healthy. Rinse in a bucket with water taken from your aquarium. To ensure constant presence of beneficial bacteria, do not replace all filtration media at the same time. For best results, replace Foam Filter insert every 2 months.

Caution: NEVER use soap or detergents, as traces of cleaning products will harm aquatic life.
