William's Ice Blue Malawi Cichlid

William's Ice Blue Malawi Cichlid is a striking freshwater species renowned for its vibrant blue coloration and distinctive red-topped markings. This semi-aggressive cichlid reaches 4–5 inches and demands a mature, well-established aquarium of at least 50 gallons with plenty of rock formations to establish territories and reduce aggression.

Optimal water conditions are essential: maintain temperatures between 74–82°F with hard, alkaline water (pH 7.5–8.5) that mimics its natural Lake Malawi habitat. Regular water changes and stable parameters will keep this fish healthy and display its best colors.

Feed an omnivorous diet combining high-quality pellets, vegetable matter, and occasional live foods. This species is best kept with compatible tank mates of similar size and temperament, or in species-specific setups where it can display natural behaviors.

Perfect for experienced aquarists who appreciate Malawi cichlid characteristics and can provide the specific care this beautiful fish requires.
