Dwarf Sagittaria

Sagittaria subulata is a low-maintenance foreground plant from South America that spreads via runners to create a lush, compact carpet. Space individual plants 2–4 cm apart for optimal growth.

This versatile plant typically reaches 5–30 cm in height but may exceed 50 cm as it matures—simply relocate it to the background if needed, and it will often reduce in size. Under stable conditions, Dwarf Sagittaria occasionally produces delicate white flowers on stems that reach the water surface, adding visual interest to your aquascape.

Ideal for beginners and experienced aquarists alike, it thrives with low to moderate light and medium CO₂ supplementation. High growth rate makes it excellent for establishing freshly planted tanks or filling gaps in existing layouts.
