1. Tank Size: CW010 Gold Laser Corydoras require a tank with a minimum capacity of 20 gallons. They are small bottom-dwelling fish, so provide enough floor space for them to swim and explore.
2. Water Conditions: Maintain a temperature between 72°F and 78°F (22°C - 26°C) and a pH level between 6.5 and 7.5. These corydoras prefer slightly acidic to neutral water. Use a reliable filtration system to keep the water clean and perform regular water changes.
3. Tank Setup: Create a well-decorated tank with plenty of hiding spots and vegetation. Use soft sand as the substrate to mimic their natural habitat and prevent any damage to their delicate barbels. Provide caves or driftwood for them to hide and rest. Ensure good water flow and oxygenation.
4. Diet: CW010 Gold Laser Corydoras are omnivorous and primarily bottom-feeders. Offer them a varied diet that includes high-quality sinking pellets or wafers specifically formulated for bottom-dwelling fish. Supplement their diet with live or frozen foods like bloodworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia. Include vegetable matter such as blanched spinach or cucumbers.
5. Tankmates: CW010 Gold Laser Corydoras are peaceful and can be kept with other small, non-aggressive fish. They do well in community tanks with species like tetras, rasboras, and small peaceful cichlids. Avoid keeping them with aggressive or fin-nipping fish.
6. Behavior and Compatibility: CW010 Gold Laser Corydoras are social and should be kept in groups of at least 6 individuals to foster their natural behavior. They are generally peaceful and get along well with other tankmates. They are excellent scavengers and will help keep the tank clean.
7. Breeding: Breeding CW010 Gold Laser Corydoras in home aquariums can be challenging. Provide them with flat surfaces like broad leaves, breeding cones, or PVC pipes as potential spawning sites. The female will lay eggs, and the male will fertilize them. Remove the adults after spawning to protect the eggs from being eaten.
8. Maintenance: Regularly check water parameters and perform water changes accordingly. Vacuum the substrate gently to remove any waste or debris. Clean the filter regularly to maintain optimal filtration. Remove any uneaten food to prevent water quality issues.
Remember to observe your CW010 Gold Laser Corydoras regularly to ensure they are healthy and thriving. If you notice any signs of illness or stress, take appropriate measures to address the issue promptly.
