Reaching 24–28 inches at maturity, they thrive in established aquariums of 180+ gallons with stable conditions, moderate flow, and plenty of hiding spaces among rockwork and caves. These nocturnal hunters feed on small fish and crustaceans. They require consistent water parameters (72–78°F, pH 8.1–8.3, low nitrate), excellent filtration, and minimal disturbance during daylight hours. Compatible with larger, non-aggressive tank mates and invertebrates they cannot consume. Coral Catsharks are hardy once acclimated but demand patience and respect for their specialized needs.
