Cerith Cortez Snail

Cerith Cortez snails are efficient algae grazers and detritus consumers suited to brackish and marine aquariums. These hardy gastropods actively forage along substrates and rockwork, consuming excess food and organic matter while maintaining water clarity. They thrive in stable conditions with pH 7.8–8.3, temperature 72–78°F, and salinity 1.020–1.025 (specific gravity). Provide ample grazing surfaces, moderate water flow, and hiding spaces among live rock or rubble. Cerith snails are peaceful community members that won't damage corals or bother fish, making them ideal for reef systems and established saltwater tanks. Ensure adequate calcium supplementation to support shell integrity. Feed sparingly in well-established systems where natural food sources are abundant.
