Swordtail - Tricolour

Tricolour swordtails are vibrant, hardy livebearers that bring dynamic movement and colour to established freshwater aquariums. Males display the characteristic elongated sword-like extension on their lower tail fin, while females remain rounder and lack this feature. These active swimmers thrive in groups and prefer planted tanks with moderate water flow. They're prolific breeders, making them ideal for aquarists interested in observing natural reproduction cycles. Feed quality flake food, micro pellets, and occasional live foods for optimal colouration and health. Maintain temperatures between 18–26°C with neutral to slightly alkaline water conditions.
