Green Racing Nerite Snail

Green Racing Nerite Snail: a hardy algae-eating invertebrate for planted and community tanks. Thrives in 3–5+ gallons with slightly alkaline water (pH 7.0–8.5, 72–78°F). Voracious grazer on soft algae, diatoms, and biofilm; supplement with algae wafers and blanched vegetables. Prefers soft substrate and peaceful tankmates (tetras, rasboras, shrimp, Corydoras). Sensitive to copper and poor water quality—maintain consistent conditions and calcium for shell strength. Lifespan 1–3 years typical; up to 5+ years under optimal care. Does not breed in freshwater. Add one to stabilize algae growth naturally.
