Paguristes cadenati, commonly known as the Bumblebee Hermit Crab. This species is found in the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico region.
The Bumblebee Hermit Crab has a yellow body with black bands or stripes, resembling the coloration of a bumblebee. They require a saltwater aquarium with plenty of hiding spots and a substrate of sand and/or rubble where they can bury themselves and molt. Bumblebee crabs are opportunistic feeders and will eat a variety of foods such as frozen or live meaty foods, pellets, and algae.
As with all crabs, it's important to keep an eye on their behavior and make sure they are not causing harm to other inhabitants in the aquarium. Bumblebee Hermit Crabs are usually peaceful creatures, but if they are too small, they may become a target for predatory fish or other crabs.
