- They are highly sought after for their unique appearance, which features a black body with white banding and sometimes reddish eyes.

- Black Crystal Shrimp require more specific water parameters than other types of shrimp, often requiring soft, acidic water with low pH levels. They are also sensitive to water temperature and require consistent temperatures between 62°F - 74°F (16°C - 23°C).

- These shrimp are not recommended for beginners or first-time shrimp keepers due to their higher care requirements compared to other types of shrimp. Experienced shrimp keepers and breeders may find breeding these shrimp to be especially rewarding due to their rarity and aesthetic appeal.
