Strawberry crabs are one of the rarer species that is not often seen in the hobby. Their scientific name is Neolimera Pubescens but they are often referred to as the strawberry crab, the red boxing crab or the Hawaiian strawberry crab. The strawberry crab comes from the Xanthidae family. Their maximum size 2” and their lifespan is unknown. Live Gem Factory has kept one in our personal tanks for over 2 years now, indicating they can live atleast that long. Strawberry crabs are omnivores. Their minimum tank size is 5 gallons. Strawberry crabs are peaceful and are both coral and invertebrate safe.
