3. Filtration: A strong filtration system is recommended for Lemon Cichlids to handle their waste production. A canister filter or a hang-on-back filter with biological and mechanical media is ideal to keep the water clean and well-oxygenated.

4. Tank Setup: Decorate the tank with plenty of rocks and caves to create hiding spots and territories for the Lemon Cichlids. Use sand or fine gravel as the substrate, as they like to sift through it. Add some live plants or artificial plants to provide cover.

5. Diet: Lemon Cichlids are omnivorous and will thrive on a varied diet. 7. Behavior: Lemon Cichlids are active and social fish, but they can be aggressive towards intruders. Provide them with plenty of hiding spots and territories within the tank to reduce stress and aggression. They may also rearrange the substrate or move decorations, so be prepared for some tank redecorating.

8. Water Changes: Regular water changes of around 25% every week are recommended to maintain good water quality. This will help prevent the accumulation of nitrates and other toxins that can negatively impact the health of the fish.

9. Breeding: Lemon Cichlids are maternal mouthbrooders. Provide them with suitable breeding conditions, including appropriate caves or flat rocks for spawning. The female will incubate the eggs in her mouth until they hatch. Separate the breeding pair to ensure the safety of the fry once they are released.
